Lily of the Valley Care: Upon receiving your lily of the valley flowers, inspect all flowers, take them out of the box and remove all packaging. It is normal for them to look tired after their long journey. Lily of the valley flowers are shipped with 'roots' still attached to maximize their longevity. Hold the ends of the stems underwater and trim the roots diagonally at least ¼ inch from the ends using a sharp knife. Place the flowers immediately in clean vases or containers with lots of fresh water (they are very thirsty!). You may store lily of the valley flowers in the refrigerator (just remember to take out fruits and vegetables as the flowers are sensitive to the ethylene gas that they emit). If you choose to store them indoors, keep the flowers away from direct sunlight, heat and drafts. To maximize vase life, store in a cool location, re-cut the stems and change the water in the vases every day using the above steps.
